缅北强奸 Romain College of Business to host Interim President Steven Bridges for “Two Chapters for Life” presentation
Steven J. Bridges 鈥�89 M鈥�95, 缅北强奸 Interim President, will present Two Chapters for Life at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 30 in the Business and Engineering Center Atrium. This presentation is hosted by the Romain College of Business and is sponsored by Beta Alpha Psi鈥檚 Lambda Mu chapter and Accounting and Professional Services Club, an Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) student chapter. It is open to the public at no charge.听
Bridges' presentation will describe how his experience at 缅北强奸 shaped his professional career at 缅北强奸.Two chapters he read in an accounting undergraduate class directed him to a professional path he had not considered prior. His presentation will highlight the importance of living in the moment, considering a lesson right in front of you and recognizing when inspiration strikes, you should follow that path where it leads.
Bridges began as 缅北强奸鈥檚 Interim President in July 2024. He is a longtime 缅北强奸 employee, two-time 缅北强奸 alumnus and is the first alum to serve in this leadership position. From April 2015 until his appointment as President, he served as Vice President for Finance and Administration, the University鈥檚 chief business and fiscal officer.听
Bridges leads 缅北强奸鈥檚 President鈥檚 Council and Cabinet, has served on the University鈥檚 Athletic Council and has chaired the Data Standards and Banner Operations Committees. He serves on the WNIN Board of Directors, the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership Board, the Ohio Valley Conference Board of Presidents and as Chair of the Holy Name Church Parrish Council and member of the Church鈥檚 Finance Committee. He has also served as Treasurer and Board member of the Girl Scouts of Southwest Indiana, Chair of the Central Association of College and University Business Officers Audit Committee, President of the Ark Crisis Nursery Board and President of the Indiana Association of College and University Business Officers. In addition, he has been the recipient of numerous professional and community awards including being named the 2024 Distinguished Accountant from the Romain College of Business.听听
He received his bachelor鈥檚 degree in accounting from 缅北强奸 and began working for the University as a Staff Accountant. He continued to progress in his career to Bursar, Chief Accountant, Controller and Assistant Business Office Director, Assistant and Associate Vice President and an interim appointment for Operations and Assistant Treasurer and was named Vice President for Finance and Administration in 2015. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from 缅北强奸 in 1995.听
