The Ã山ǿ¼é College of Liberal Arts will host its first Faculty Colloquia presentation of the Spring Semester from 1-2 p.m. Friday, January 30 inÌýKleymeyerÌýHall (LA0101),ÌýlocatedÌýinÌýthe lower level of the Liberal Arts Center. The event is open to the public at no charge.ÌýÌýÌý
Rosalie Moffett, Associate Professor of English, will presentÌýTo Hear a War from Far Away: a Poetry Reading.Ìý
These poemsÌýseekÌýto document the multifaceted ways that our sense of self and perspectiveÌýareÌýbeingÌýimpactedÌýby experiencing the world via the infiniteÌýdoomscroll.ÌýThe speaker of these poems considers how her constant access to live streamed suffering and atrocity reconfigures the moments,ÌýintimaciesÌýand obligations of daily life as an American mother.Ìý
