The speaker for the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions Ceremony is Dr. Tony Goodwin, a 1989 Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology graduate. He also holds a master鈥檚 degree and a doctorate in allied health science鈥攔adiology from Florida Atlantic University and maintains a steadfast dedication to advancing his experience as a medical leader and lifelong learner. Goodwin has earned graduate certificates in change management and executive healthcare leadership from Cornell University, along with a graduate certificate in safety, quality, informatics and leadership from Harvard Medical School.

Currently serving as the Technology Operations Administrator at Ascension Health, Goodwin specializes in medical imaging operations, project implementation and technical administration. Since assuming the role in 2021, his oversight of market-improving implementations stabilized technical operations within the region, further establishing him as a crucial liaison at the executive level. Goodwin鈥檚 combined expertise in radiologic imaging technology and technical operations make him an invaluable leader, innovator and healthcare professional for the region.

Previously at Ascension, Goodwin led complete enterprise imaging operations within multiple regions of the U.S. and consolidated the imaging services of healthcare facilities in over 24 regions. His national responsibility for radiology and cardiology imaging led to improved system integration and revenue enhancement, positioning him in the top 2% of national leaders. Goodwin has also occupied the role of Picture Archiving and Communication System Administrator, where he led implementation for full-system upgrades, was the architect for a cardiac catheterization laboratory and designed a digital mammography system.

Prior to joining Ascension, Goodwin was Vice President of Operations at Quest Healthcare, where he oversaw more than 250 contracted medical facilities, opened and operated more than 21 diagnostic imaging facilities and developed technical standards that improved exam quality, enhanced diagnostic results and reduced costs by over 20%.

In his professional roles, Goodwin has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to continued education and leadership development. He holds licenses and certifications from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the Indiana State Department of Health and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Goodwin has also been honored as the recipient of the Leadership Achievement Award and the Living Our Mission Distinguished Leader Award in 2024.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Goodwin is President of the Westside Conservation Club and Commissioner for the Evansville Youth Football League. Continually engaged with the University community, he is a Board Member and Treasurer of the 缅北强奸 Alumni Council, as well as a guest lecturer in radiology curriculum for the Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions. Most recently, Goodwin and his wife, Lisa, made a gift to the 缅北强奸 Foundation to establish the Dr. and Mrs. Anthony D. Goodwin Endowment. This fund will provide unrestricted support to Radiologic and Imaging Sciences at 缅北强奸, reinforcing Goodwin鈥檚 passion for advancing healthcare education in his community.
