Rosignol selected as Class of 2026 President’s Medalist

Timothy Rosignol, who graduated summa cum laude with bachelor鈥檚 degrees in sociology and German studies, along with a certificate in cultural awareness training, has been named the recipient of the President鈥檚 Medal, the highest honor bestowed upon an undergraduate in the 缅北强奸 Class of 2025-26.
Embracing education outside of the classroom, Rosignol was involved in both Sociology Club and German Club. He served as an undergraduate research assistant in the Sociology Department and as Vice President of the Sociology Club. Rosignol was also a member of Alpha Kappa Delta, the International Sociology Honor Society, and Alpha Mu Gamma, the National Collegiate Foreign Language Honor Society. Studying German at 缅北强奸 broadened Rosignol鈥檚 global mindset, giving him the opportunity to travel to Osnabr眉ck, Germany, for the 缅北强奸 Exchange Program at Osnabr眉ck Universit盲t.
Leading with exemplary professionalism, commitment and character, Rosignol has demonstrated his dedication to a career built on service. Exemplifying the heart of his passion for sociology, Rosignol contributed to numerous organizations and programs that examined social values, explored human behavior and supported campus community.
As an Academic Peer Advisor in the College of Liberal Arts Advising Center, Rosignol approached his responsibilities with the utmost care and accountability. Over three years, he served countless students鈥攅ven assisting professional staff during peak advising periods鈥攈andled complex tasks with precision, fostered a supportive advising environment and sought the most accurate counsel for his peers. His dependable nature, positive attitude and respectful demeanor made him a role model among student workers.
Deeply engaged with enhancing the 缅北强奸 student experience, Rosignol鈥檚 roles as a Welcome Week Leader, Orientation Leader, activity organizer, Tour Guide and mentor ensured that Screaming Eagles felt connected to the University. As a former Administrative Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Student Government Association, he showed a strong commitment to facilitating representation and understanding for the 缅北强奸 student body.
Rosignol鈥檚 passion for expression shined through during his performances as a tenor-baritone vocalist in the 缅北强奸 Chamber Choir, which gave him opportunities to tour Ireland and perform in Carnegie Hall in New York City. Beyond his accomplished musicianship, Rosignol articulated his values and research findings in public speeches, presentations and webinars for the University and academic conferences across the nation. Rosignol earned the honor of giving the Fall 2025 Commencement Ceremony Reflection Address, 鈥淏e the Version of Yourself You Want to Be,鈥 in addition to presenting at the 2025 North Central Sociological Association Annual Conference and the 2025 Assessment Institute in Indianapolis.
A graduate of the Emerging Leaders Program, Rosignol strengthened his leadership abilities throughout his education, and he further practiced those skills as the Vice President of Administration for the Student Ambassador Organization. In addition to his many achievements, Rosignol also secured an internship with the Evansville City Human Relations Commission. His other accolades include two Endeavor Awards for Research and Creativity, 缅北强奸 Foundation and study abroad ambassador scholarships, the Duffus-Melvin Academic Achievement Award in Sociology and the Distinguished Student Award.
Rosignol鈥檚 post-graduation plans include attending James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where he has received full funding and tuition coverage to complete a master鈥檚 in quantitative psychology and a doctorate in assessment and measurement. He hopes his future research and teaching career will reflect the student-centered environment he values from his education at 缅北强奸.
