Hello and Welcome!

TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is dedicated to increasing the college retention and graduation rates of first-generation, low-income students, and students with disabilities. Through a holistic framework, the program provides individualized support tailored to address each participant's academic, personal, and career needs, empowering them to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. With services such as academic support (advising and online/in-person tutoring), mentoring (through peer and staff mentors), financial literacy education (covering all aspects of money management), and career and personal development, the program equips students for long-term success. Open to 缅北强奸 undergraduate students pursuing their first baccalaureate degree, TRIO SSS is committed to helping participants achieve their goal of earning a bachelor鈥檚 degree while navigating their unique educational journey with confidence and support.

What is TRIO?

  • Academic Advising and Support - We'll develop an individualized academic plan together to ensure you graduate successfully on time!
  • Academic Coaching - We'll help you with course selection, registration, major and career exploration, and graduate school planning!
  • Cultural Engagement - We team up with the Multi-Cultural Center, 21st Century Scholars, and the Center for International Programs to provide you with a wide range of new and exciting activities!>
  • Financial Counseling - We'll help you with FAFSA workshops, economic literacy programs, grant-aid and scholarships, and financial planning for college and beyond!
  • Learning and Career Assessment - When you become an TRIO participant we will talk about your learning styles and career goals to make sure we find the perfect major match for you!
  • Peer Mentoring - All incoming freshman will be paired with a mentor during their first semester, as they transition (academically and socially) to the life of a college student.
  • Personalized Tutoring - TRIO offers one-on-one individualized tutoring.
  • Personal and Career Assessments - Personal problems weighing on you? Not sure 'what you want to be when you grow up'? We can help!
  • Student Leadership Opportunties - Become a Peer Mentor, get involved on campus through student leadership positions.

Being part of TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) has been transformative for me throughout my college career here at the 缅北强奸. This program kindly provides me and every other student with personalized academic support and a sense of community that has helped me navigate through college with confidence. Through mentorship and resources, I have discovered and am still discovering my potential and am learning how to turn challenges into memorable opportunities.
