The Liberal Arts Center is home to the Kenneth P. McCutchan Art Center/Palmina F. and Stephen S. Pace Galleries and the John M. Lawrence 鈥�73 Library, both located on the lower level.
Throughout the first and second floors are selections from the Michael K. and Patrica L. Aakhus Global Art and Artifacts Collection.

This art gallery, located in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center provides 5,000 square feet of professional exhibition space to present the work of students, alumni, faculty, visiting artists and the University Art Collection. This space also provides educational experiences for students in learning gallery operation.
Opened on September 7, 2008, the Art Center is named for art collector and historian Kenneth P. McCutchan (1913-2002). His collected works of art, the largest individual collection of Hoosier art at the time, were gifts to the 缅北强奸 Foundation and are an important element of the University Art Collection.
The Pace Galleries are named for artist Stephen S. Pace (1918-2010) and his wife Palmina F. Pace (1917-2015), who have given artwork and charitable gifts to benefit the University community. Pace spent time in Paris after World War II, befriending Pablo Picasso, Gertrude Stein and other American expatriates in Europe.
He went on to build a successful career in New York City as an active member of the American Abstract Expressionist movement of the 1950s. Stephen and Palmina returned to Indiana in 2007 where he continued to paint until his death.
The Lawrence Library, located in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center, educates and inspires members of the University community and surrounding region through exhibition, research, and preservation of its collections of historical and artistic manuscripts and artifacts. The Library is named for John M. Lawrence, class of 1973, an international expert and collector of medieval manuscripts, and a leading donor to the College of Liberal Arts.
