Homecoming Week at Ã山ǿ¼é is all about celebrating school spirit, reconnecting with friends, and creating unforgettable memories. From exciting campus traditions to lively social events, this week offers something for everyone—students, alumni, faculty, and the entire Screaming Eagles community. Get ready to show your pride, join in the fun, and make this Homecoming one to remember!

Homecoming Day of Service

10 a.m. - 1 p.m. | UC West 226/227

Calling all Screagles! Join us in giving back to our surrounding communities by participating in the second annual Homecoming Day of Service project. The day will begin with breakfast in theÌý Carter Hall lobby followed by a brief presentation and finally your instructions for the day. We have a variety of service opportunities that include traveling to a site off campus, working on projects on campus, or participating through virtual service opportunities! Registration is open to all Ã山ǿ¼é affiliates (students, staff/faculty, alumni, and families). There are volunteer opportunities suitable for all ages.Ìý

Service Options:

  • External Service Site: The Albion Fellows Bacon Center

    • Maximum number of volunteers: 15

    • Volunteering tasks: Deep cleaning of shelter, and organize donation, etc.

    • Volunteer shift: 11:00am - 1:00pm

  • External Service Site: Evansville Rescue Mission

    • Maximum number of volunteers: 5

    • Volunteering tasks: Sorting and hanging clothes in thrift store warehouse

    • Volunteer shift: 11:00am - 1:00pm

  • On campus project: Cards for Hospitalized Kids
    • Maximum number of volunteers: N/A

    • Volunteering tasks: Craft and sign cards of encouragement to be delivered to children who are hospitalized. All materials will be provided.

    • Volunteer shift: 11:00 - 1:00pm

  • On campus project: DIY Pet Toys

    • Maximum number of volunteers: N/A

    • Volunteering tasks: Crafting cat toys and dog toys with various recycled materials to be sent to various animal shelters in the community and nationwide. All materials will be provided.

    • Volunteer shift: 11:00 - 1:00pm

    • Free Rice:ÌýFreerice is an educational trivia game that helps you get smarter while making a difference for people around the world. Every question you answer correctly raises 10 grains of rice for the World Food Programme (WFP) to support its work saving and changing lives around the world.

    • Zooniverse:ÌýThe Zooniverse is the world’s largest and most popular platform for people-powered research. This research is made possible by volunteers — more than a million people around the world who come together to assist professional researchers. Our goal is to enable research that would not be possible, or practical, otherwise. Zooniverse research results in new discoveries, datasets useful to the wider research community, andÌý.

The Enchanted Forest

7 p.m. to Midnight | Griffin Center

The Homecoming Ball returns this year with an Enchanted Forest theme featuring, music and dancing, a photobooth, and delicious refreshments!

Adorn your finest outfits and head to the Griffin Center (behind Reflection Lake) to dance the night away and celebrate Homecoming at Ã山ǿ¼é!

Attendance is FREE for Ã山ǿ¼é Students. Ã山ǿ¼é students are allowed one non-student guest. Guests must be 18 years old or older, and must provide photo ID at the door.Ìý

Limited parking is available at the Griffin Center, with overflow parking being available in Lot J.
