McCutchan Collection

Life-long Evansville resident Kenneth P. McCutchan collected works of art by Indiana artists for over 40 years.

The majority of the 260 works in the McCutchan Collection are by the Hoosier Group - Indiana Impressionist painters working in the late 19th and early 20th centuries primarily known for their Indiana landscapes.

McCutchan also collected the work of his contemporaries, especially artists working in Evansville and the Tri-State area from the 1950s through the early 70s.

A third facet of McCutchan's collection is work by younger Indiana artists, including many Ã山ǿ¼é faculty, alumni and students. Click on the Gallery images for details and larger images.

Pace Collection

The Pace Collection includes 50 art works representing the life and career of 20th century artist, Stephen S. Pace.

Pace's work has three distinct periods. It begins with work from the 1940s and 50s when Pace was studying in Mexico and Europe.

From the mid-50's when Pace was working in New York, the work is Abstract Expressionist.

The third era continues through the latter half of the 20th century, with Pace's exploration of the figure and the motion of horses.

In this new century Pace's work reflects memories of life in Indiana and Maine.

Warhol Collection

This collection was a gift from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and includes 100 original Polaroidâ„¢ photographs and 50 gelatin silver prints.

The Ã山ǿ¼é is one of 183 colleges and universities across the nation to receive a gift through the Andy Warhol Photographic Legacy Program.

The aim of the Photographic Legacy Program is to provide greater access to Warhol's artwork and process.
