Move-in day is almost here, and an exciting new chapter is about to begin! Whether you're arriving on campus for the first time or returning for another great year, we're here to help make your move-in experience as smooth as possible. Explore the information below for important dates, move-in tips, and everything you need to know before arriving on campus. Housing residents will sign up online for a timeslot to move in. This timeslot is for checking in, unloading vehicle(s) and moving them to designated parking lots. The timeslot form will be available on the on Monday, July 20.
(For students who need to be on campus for a Ã山ǿ¼é sponsored event or activity.)

Saturday, August 8

Eligible students can drop off their belongings in their room before Operation Move-In and head home. Students will receive their room key on August 13 after Convocation.
Eligible students are new freshmen assigned to Newman, Governors, O'Bannon, or Ruston who live in Vanderburgh, Posey, Warrick, or Gibson County (IN) or Henderson County (KY).

Get ready for the biggest move-in event of the year! OMI is the official freshman move-in day for students assigned to Newman, Governors, O'Bannon, and Ruston.
Tip: Watch for OMI signs along the route to help guide you.
Tip: Have your student ID ready to help speed up the check-in process.
During Operation Move-In (August 13), volunteers will help unload vehicles and transport belongings to student rooms.
All residence halls have elevators; however, to keep move-in traffic flowing and reduce congestion in lobbies and hallways, students and guests should use the stairs whenever possible. Elevators will be reserved for students and guests with accessibility needs and for transporting large or heavy items.
Students who have a disability or medical condition that requires move-in accommodations should contact Living in advance.

Parents, families, and friends are welcome to help students move in and get settled into their new home on campus.
Housing will begin accepting mail and packages for fall residents on Wednesday, August 12. If you are not a summer housing resident, please do not have anything sent to campus prior to August 12. Please visit Mail and Packages for more information on how items should be addressed and where to pick up mail and packages.
Meal plans begin Saturday, August 15 with brunch. For more information about meal plans visit . There will be food provided at many of the events and activities throughout Welcome Week.

Be aware there is ongoing road construction impacting both eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 62 near campus. Plan accordingly when coming to campus.
All students who plan to bring a vehicle to campus must register their vehicle online using the Vehicle Registration Form.
Apartment Residents
Complete your vehicle registration by Monday, August 3 to ensure your parking packet is ready when you move in. Your parking packet will include:
Vehicle registrations submitted after August 3 will be processed as they are received.
Residence Hall Residents
Residence hall students may pick up their parking permit packet on Thursday, August 13, from 7 a.m.–4 p.m. in the Quiet Room of the Recreation, Fitness and Wellness Center (RFWC).
After August 13, parking permits can be picked up from Public Safety, located in Room 170 of the Recreation, Fitness and Wellness Center.

Parking regulations will be enforced beginning on the first day of the fall semester.
