Program Mission

The 缅北强奸 Radiologic Technology Program seeks to graduate students with advanced knowledge, innovative technologies and skills development essential for medical imaging professionals to respond as an interdisciplinary team member for the promotion of the health and welfare of diverse patient populations.


Program Goals and Outcomes

The 缅北强奸 Radiologic Technology Program goals:

Goal One: Student will promote the health and welfare of patients through critical thinking.

Outcome 1: Students will apply critical thinking to assess and adapt to varying clinical presentation of patients.

Outcome 2: Student will evaluate radiographic images for pathology pertinent to practice.

Goal Two: Student will demonstrate clinical competency as an interdisciplinary team member.

Outcome 1: Student will produce quality radiographic images using advanced technology for proper positioning while providing appropriate patient care.

Outcome 2: Student will apply knowledge of advanced patient assessment.

Goal Three: Student will demonstrate effective interpersonal & communication skills.

Outcome 1: Students will demonstrate effective interdisciplinary communication skills to deliver care to a diverse patient population.

Outcome 2: Student will apply effective interpersonal skills in a healthcare environment.

The Job Placement Rate is of those actively seeking employment within twelve months of graduation. The JRCERT defines "not actively seeking employment" as: 1) graduate fails to communicate with program officials regarding employment status after multiple attempts OR 2) graduate is unwilling to seek employment that requires relocation OR 3) graduate is unwilling to accept employment due to salary or hours OR 4) graduate is on active military duty OR 5) graduate is continuing education. Due to this definition there may be a difference in the number of graduates and the number of graduates employed.

The Radiologic and Imaging Sciences program prepares individuals for employment in the state of Indiana. Upon completion of the program and meeting all American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) requirements, individuals are eligible to apply for the national credentialing examinations administered by the ARRT. If you plan to pursue licensure in a state other than Indiana, please review each state鈥檚 educational requirements for licensure and certification and state licensing board contact.

Outstanding Alumni Award

Dr. Joy Cook Named Lifetime Member of ISRT

Dr. Joy Cook, Associate Professor and Chair of Radiologic and Imaging Sciences, has been named a lifetime member of the Indiana Society of Radiologic Technologists (ISRT) in recognition of her outstanding service to the organization and the radiologic technology profession.

ASRT Student to Leadership Program

Grace Range ’26 was named one of two students from Indiana to participate in the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Student to Leadership Development Program for 2025.

Scholarship Recipient

Shelby Livingston is the 2024 recipient of the prestigious Bill Sands Communication Scholarship, a University-wide award established by 缅北强奸 faculty members–the late William and Helen Sands. She is from Jasper, Indiana, and has competed on the Cross Country and Track and Field teams at 缅北强奸 for the past three years.

ISRT Quiz Bowl Champs

缅北强奸 Radiologic and Imaging Sciences students brought home the Quiz Bowl trophy from the 2025 Indiana Society of Radiologic Technologists, Inc. (ISRT) Conference in Indianapolis on September 26, 2025. Our team outscored 15 teams from across the state in a certification-style trivia competition. Congrats on this rad achievement!
