Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory therapy is a health specialty instrumental in the diagnosis, treatment, management, and preventive care of patients with cardiopulmonary problems. These problems include asthma, pulmonary emphysema, pneumonia, pulmonary edema, respiratory distress of the adult and newborn, croup, bronchitis, cardiac failure, cerebral thrombosis, drowning, hemorrhage and shock.

The 缅北强奸 offers two options to earn a bachelor of science degree in respiratory therapy:

Four-Year Entry Level Program

The four-year entry level program offers a comprehensive curriculum including hands-on training and direct clinical experience. The entry level program allows new undergraduate students the ability to earn their BSRT degree in the profession of respiratory therapy.

Degree Completion Program (RRT to BSRT)

Practicing respiratory therapists may earn a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy online without the need to relocate. The degree completion program allows those who have an Associate of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy and have been awarded the RRT credential the ability to develop their skills and advance in their field.

Block credit information聽is not included in the 缅北强奸 Academic Bulletin at this time. For students who earned their AS degree聽somewhere other than 缅北强奸, a聽block of up to 50 credit hours can be awarded聽with confirmation of the RRT credential and licensure, where applicable.

The mission of the Respiratory Therapy Program is to provide sound instruction and resources that will enable students to develop the knowledge, skills, attitude, and critical thinking which are necessary to become successful and competent respiratory therapists. The Respiratory Therapy Program fosters and promotes health and wellness through the advancement of education, teaching excellence, practice, research, community engagement and a commitment to lifelong learning.

In聽addition to the departmental degree requirements, undergraduate students must complete the聽University Core 39. Our core provides the foundation for all baccalaureate degrees at the 缅北强奸. A university education prepares individuals to live wisely in a diverse and global community by helping students acquire both discipline-specific competence and broader knowledge and skills that reach across disciplines.聽View the classes聽included in Core 39 or talk to your advisor for more information.

Are you an out-of-state student interested in pursuing the Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy degree at 缅北强奸 or determining if the Respiratory Therapy Program meets individual state requirements for employment? Check your eligibility. The Respiratory Therapy Program is limited to working with certain states in the U.S. only. Moving into a state not recognized by the Respiratory Therapy Program will lead to inability to continue in your coursework. The exception to this is active military status.

Mary Phillips, Assistant Professor and Chair of Respiratory Therapy, was chosen to co-lead the Indiana Joint Asthma Coalition (InJAC), a subset of the larger Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute which was founded in 2003.
