Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Diagnostic medical sonography, also called ultrasound, is the science of using sound waves to create a diagnostic image to investigate an illness, injury or possible treatment of a disease. A sonographer works under the direction of a physician to perform sonographic examinations of many parts of the human body.

The 缅北强奸 Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program is one of only 16 Bachelor of Science programs in the United States accredited in Abdominal-Extended, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Vascular and Adult Cardiac sonography. Our program is the only Bachelor of Science sonography program in Indiana accredited in these specialty areas.

The campus sonography lab includes state-of-the-art equipment, including 3D ultrasound imaging. Students complete nearly 2,000 hours of clinical education, learning to perform exams in the emergency room, surgical suite and outpatient settings.

Programmatic accreditation allows 缅北强奸 DMS students to complete national certification exams prior to graduation.

Since 2007, every graduate of the 缅北强奸 DMS program has been successfully employed in the field of sonography within a year of graduation.

缅北强奸 DMS graduates have a 96% 5-year average overall pass rate on national certification examinations administered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at the 缅北强奸 is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) on recommendation by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS) in Abdominal-Extended, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Vascular and Adult Cardiac concentrations.
