Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) is a comprehensive assessment and remediation program designed to support student mastery of nursing content and preparation for NCLEX success. Most nursing courses include ATI Content Mastery Series (CMS) activities, which consist of required Practice Assessments (A and B), a standardized proctored assessment, and remediation with a retake as indicated. ATI activities may be scheduled outside of regular class time, with each proctored assessment taking approximately 1鈥2 hours to complete.
ATI CMS activities will account for 5% of the total course points, with point distribution based on completion of required practice assessments, performance on the proctored assessment, and completion of remediation and retake when necessary.
- Level 2 proficiency is the program benchmark.
- Students who achieve Level 2 or 3 on the initial proctored assessment will receive full ATI credit.
- Students who score Level 1 or Below Level 1 are required to complete faculty guided remediation and retake the proctored assessment to earn eligible ATI points.
Each CMS assessment includes:
- Practice Assessments A and B
- Practice Assessments A and B must be completed before the proctored assessment and are graded as part of the CMS activities. Faculty will publish the due date in the course syllabus and calendar, so it is before the proctored exam date. Faculty may choose to use the completion of Practice A and B as a 鈥渢icket鈥 into the scheduled proctored exam.
- Standardized proctored assessment
- Remediation: If required because the student achieves Level 1 or Below Level 1, points are earned based on level achieved.
- Level 1:
- Complete a minimum of 2-hour Focused Review.
- Optional additional remediation ideas are listed on pages 5 and 6.
- Earn additional points from the total allocated ATI points if remediation is completed.
-
- Below Level 1:
- Complete a minimum of 3-hour Focused Review.
- Earn additional points from the total allocated ATI points if remediation is completed.
