To ensure timely progression through the BSN program, students must follow the prescribed course sequence and enroll in designated courses concurrently during the third, fourth and fifth semesters.

Third Semester

• NURS 363: Mental Health Nursing and NURS 368: Nursing Care of Adults II must be taken concurrently.
• NURS 364: Care of Children and Families and NURS 362: Care Coordination & Healthcare Delivery must be taken concurrently.

Fourth Semester

• NURS 455: Population-Focused Nursing Practice and NURS 456: Nursing Care Women & Families must be taken concurrently.
• NURS 468: Nursing Care of Adults III and NURS 461: Care of Adults through the Lifespan must be taken concurrently.

Fifth Semester (for some students this will be the fourth 鈥渟ummer鈥� semester)

• NURS 498: Clinical Synthesis and NURS 488: Leadership in Care Delivery should not be registered for concurrently.

Students will complete these courses in separate bi-terms. Both courses cannot be taken at the same time.
This applies to all students, including December graduates and those in fall-start cohorts.

Note:

• Students should reach out to their academic nursing advisor if they have questions about course sequencing or registration.
• It may be necessary to move students from one bi-term to another based on clinical site availability. When these adjustments occur, students who registered last in a particular course/bi-term will be the individuals moved to the other section.
• All students will have a spot in the required courses; however, these changes are sometimes necessary to ensure equitable clinical experiences for all students.
